Marketing Campaign: Alexandra Savior Lola’s Room Show

Project: Lola’s Room Show Marketing – Alexandria Savior; Music Marketing Coordinator – McMenamins

Overview: While supporting marketing for the 1500-capacity Crystal Ballroom, I independently managed all marketing for Lola’s Room (300-capacity), a venue that historically struggled to sell out shows. This included creating and executing marketing strategies, managing a budget, and coordinating with artist management.

Responsibilities:
•Managed a $500 marketing budget in collaboration with the artist’s management team.
•Coordinated social media campaigns across multiple platforms.
•Designed and scheduled three newsletters targeting past ticket buyers and relevant fan segments.
•Oversaw print and digital ads, posters, and in-venue slideshows.
•Ran promotional partnerships and giveaways with local media outlets (e.g., KBOO, do503).
•Handled communications and marketing updates when the show was postponed due to the artist’s illness, including drafting messaging for fans, website, social media, and newsletters.

Goal: Sell at least 277 tickets to break even on the marketing budget.

Outcome: The new show was set for April 29, 2020, and had sold 197 tickets by early March when everything was suddenly shut down due to COVID-19. The show had done significantly better than past shows at Lola’s Room and was on track to sell out by its April show date. After the Alexandra Savior show, I had 10 shows in my docket that I was fully managing that were on pace to do well, also.
